Northfield, Massachusetts.

Mrs. Howard A. M. Briggs. Mrs. Louise Pine Briggs, wife of Howard A. M. Briggs died in Springfield hospital Monday morning. She had been seriously ill in her home in Huntington three months and recently entered the hospital, it was thought the crisis had Mr. and Mrs. Briggs came to Northfield from New Jersey several years ago and made their home on the Winchester road, where Mr. Briggs still owns three farms. Two years ago they moved to Chester, Massachusetts, where Mr. Briggs was a minister. The past winter he accepted a call to the Congregational church of Huntington where they have since lived. Mrs. Briggs is remembered, by the people Northfield as a woman of pleasant personality. devoted to her husband and his work. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, Reverend L. P. Cook, formerly of Northfield, and Reverend H. M. Dykman of Westfield officiating. The body was taken to Troy, New York for burial. Services there were in the home of her parent, Mrs. S. K. P. Pine. The burial took place at Oakwood cemetery.
