Description Civil Air Transport (CAT) Curtiss C-46 Commando aircraft at Taipei, Taiwan, in 1950. The CAT was an airline operated by the CIA and the forerunner of Air America. The photo was taken during the U.S. ambassador Philip C. Jessup's trip to Taipei.
