| Description |
English: City of Newport Model Engineering Society site, Glebelands, Newport Secured by fencing, the new site for the Society's layout is taking shape at The Glebelands.
In 1966, the Society built a 3,000 foot long model railway track in the southern part of the Glebelands. In 2000, when the site was needed for the new Glan Usk Primary School,the Society acquired a 5½ acre former allotment site on the northern side of the Glebelands, part of which is seen here. |
