| Description | A funeral procession outside City of Nanking, with monk leading the way. 此画描写的正是鸦片战争前萧条的南京。画面凄惨，僧人引领着吹鼓手们，侍女们素衣孝服裹身，紧随的脚夫们抬着棺木，确乎是一场出殡。画面地点应是在西 城三山门（今水西门）附近。画面右处露出城南一角，是原来南京城外最繁华地带，所谓“乌衣巷”的所在，现在全都颓然废弃，河道中空有几支农船载货入城。少 了香火的寺塔，兀自一根根地竖立着，等待着倒塌的那一日。 |
