| Description |
English: City of London: Temple Bar The 76 bus passes the Royal Courts of Justice and Temple Bar, marking the boundary of the City of London. An arch designed by Wren following the Great Fire of London is no longer here, but was dismantled stone by stone when the Corporation wished to widen the road. The stones were bought privately and the arch re-erected elsewhere, but were returned to the City in 2004 when the arch was rebuilt in Paternoster Square, some distance northeast of here. |
