1990 Citroen 2CV van This reminds me on Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau ending up in a swimming pool - spotted at the NEC Classic Show November 2012. I can never resist the 2CV, the design of which is intriguing. From the interconnected front & rear suspension, with the horizontal dampers, to the quickly removable panels and seats. The looks have polarised opinions for years, but I think it wins because of the sheer functionality. The corrugated panels of the van recall the larger H van. I owned an Orange 2CV in the mid to late 1970s, during 2 hot British summers (where have they gone?). I was 20 years old and wanted something cheap to run, and fun. OK, so it never won any traffic light Grand Prix.... |
