Its Scope Heretofore the scope of the Citadel Y.M. C. A. has not been as broad as itmight have been. On account of con-ditions peculiar to The Citadel, little out-side work has been done; but it is hopedthat, as the Association grows strongerand bigger, means will be found whichwill enable Citadel Y. V. A. Crawford, 20President Y. M. C. A. Relation to the City Y. M. C. A. The Y. U. C. A. of The Citadel is adepartment of the Charleston Association,and shares its spirit. Special arrangementshave been made whereby cadets may jointhe City Association for the nominal feeof two dollars for the entire scholasticyear. This special membership gives thecadets full access to gymnasiums, tenniscourts, reading room, shower baths, swim-ming pool, etc. The building is on George Street, onlyone block from The Citadel.
