Description
Polski: Kamienica przypisana była do Górnego Przedmieścia z numerem konskrypcyjnym 429. Budynek został wzniesiony w 1896 r dla Alfonsa Mattera. Przed 1905 r kamienicę nabył Władysław Kusionowicz. Dawny mechanizm tzw. windki korbowej, służący do podnoszenia i opuszczania oprawy oświetleniowej umocowanej na przewieszce nad ulicą. W środku tego żelastwa była szpula z nawiniętą linką stalową, która linka szła w górę i potem w poprzek ulicy aż do tej oprawy oświetleniowej. W środkowy otwór wkładało się korbę i kręcąc spuszczało oprawę na poziom ulicy celem wymiany źródła światła lub innej naprawy, potem podnosiło do położenia pracy. Takie samy mechanizmy montowano niegdyś w słupach latarniowych zakończonych tzw pastorałem.Galeria Mist Scotch zawiera wiele zdjęć zabytkowych budowli, pomników i miejsc pamięci w Polsce.
English: Old street light cable lowering mechanism on "Wladysław Kusionowicz Building" at number 17 (Konskrypcyjnym 429) Henryk Sienkiewicz street in the district of Cieszyn developed by the famous builder\businessman Alfons Matter. The House was built in 1896 and before 1905 was sold to Władysław Kusionowicz, brother of dr Andrzej Kusionowicz (who married Alfons's eldest daughter Alicja), who became Chief Magistrate of Kraków. This district, on a hill close to the city centre, later became officially known as Matterówka.The Scotch Mist Gallery contains many photographs of historic buildings, monuments and memorials of Poland.
