Description
Magyar: Ezen a Sz.JÁNOS evangélista tiszteletére szentelt templomot és mellette a kolostort a minorita szerzet emelte IV.BÉLA k.alatt 1269-ben. Ide temették 1301-ben III.Endrét utolsó királyunkat az Árpádok nemzetségéből. A török kor előtt az olaszok plébániája, a törökök alatt minden keresztény felekezetnek közös imaháza volt, mely az 1686-iki ostrom alatt annyira megrongáltatott, hogy csupán tornyának alsó része maradt épségben. A templom és a torony felső része a ferenciek számára az ostrom után épült fel. Itt koronáztatott I. FERENZ magyar királlyá 1792-ben.
