Chromatic Dispersion in SM OFC

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Chromatic Dispersion occurs in Optical Fiber Cable due to differences in Transmission Speeds of various Wavelengths in the OFC media. Thus a narrow pulse of light would tend to get wider as it travels thru the length of the OFC. This would occur even in Single Mode Fiber, where only a single ray of light (but comprising several wavelengths) is passed.
