Description
English: Christian Tabernacle Church of God, Inc., (est. 1974) located at 2033 11th Street, N.W., (on the southeast corner of 11th and V Streets, N.W.) in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C.


Built in 1903 for Berean Baptist Church, (now located at 924 Madison Street, N.W., in Brightwood) the property served as the Star of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ from 1968 until 1986, the year Christian Tabernacle Church of God, Inc., purchased the building. The brick, Romanesque Revival church is designated as a contributing property to the Greater U Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
