| Description |
English: Chislehurst West Tunnel: northern portal Chislehurst tunnels are a pair, each carrying two tracks under Sundridge Park. This western tunnel carries the "fast" lines and dates from 1865. It is 591 yards long according to http://deaves47.users.btopenworld.com/Tunnels/Tunnels1.htm . The photograph was taken from the footbridge 200m to the north, but owing to the fencing erected on the bridge [see link to be addded] it was not easy to get. |
