Qing Qian Wan Xuan (pinyin transliteration) or Ching Chian Wan Hsuan (old transliteration of Wade-Gile) Ching - deep, dark (about color) Chian - coin Ching Qian - old money Wan - Ten thousand. Hsuan - silver coin, Also left character can be read as Shua - ancient measure of weight and as Suan - Ten thousand. There is phrase Shi <10> Shua - "10 by 10 000", hence Wan Shua - "10 000 by 10 000", i.e. 100 000 000. So, two variants of obverse legend: a) 100 000 000 of copper coins b) <let> money returns by silver coin Reverse: Top - 1st trigram Chian - man's base of Universe, heaven, north-east, spring, farther, husband, Emperor The Creative - Heaven, Sky Attribute: Strength, creativity Animal: horse Body: head Family: father Direction: Northwest Bottom - 7 th trigram Kun - woman's base of Universe, Earth, moon, south-west, mother, wife, vassal The Receptive - Earth Attribute: Docility, receptivity Animal: ox Body: belly Family: mother Direction: Southwest Pair Chian Kun = Pi (12 th hexagram), bad fatum Right - Ri (Sun).
