Summary[edit]
DescriptionChina Showcase, Epcot (6068562068).jpg |
Epcot (Experimental Planned Community of Tomorrow) is the second theme park to open at Walt Disney World, focusing on future technology and world cultures. The back half of Epcot is World Showcase, which deals with cultures of eleven different nations. The China showcase was my favorite out of the eleven national showcases. This is a very nice rendition of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing; I had seen the real thing in 2002, and this one compares favorably to the real thing. The rest of the showcase also includes a model of the terracotta warriors of Xi'an as well as a CircleVision 360 movie showcasing various sights of China. One of the sights showcased in the movie was the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong, which would become a very memorable travel destination for me later in 2008. |
