Went to a place where jewellery is made using the blue stone lapis lazuli and putting it into various settings. Lapis lazuli, or lapis for short, is a deep-blue semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense colour. The lapis lazuli ore has about the same rarity as gold ore. Afghanistan is the leading source but it is also found in Chile, Russia, Canada, Argentina, and Pakistan. Small amounts have also been found in the United States. |
