GARDEN IRIS FLEUR DE LIS The Iris is one of our specialties and we grow them by the acre. Irises from our collection have taken many prizes and medals for high quality. TALL BEARDED The Tall Bearded Irises furnish us one of the best and most satisfactory of the hardy plants. They are among- the oldest of the cultivated flow- ers, being named Iris by the Greeks signifying "rainbow." They can be planted and trans- planted with safety almost any time of the year when ground is open. They love shallow plant- ing in a sunny, well-drained situation. Beethoven—S. blue, F. deep royal purple. Brooklyn—S. lavender, yellow at base; F. pale blue; base veined brown on a white ground, edged yellow, splashed with dark blue; beautiful. Candicans—S. lavender, F. reddish-purple. Edith Cook—S. clear yellow, F. yellow, veined red. FlaA'escens—S. and F. delicate shade of soft yellow. Very good for borders. Height, 3 0 in. Gertrude—S. and F. same shade of rare violet. Gracchus—S. clear yellow, F. marked red, reticulated white. A very conspicuous variety. Honorabilis—S. intense yellow, F. a beautiful bronze. Harlequin Melanais—White and violet-blue; distinctly blotched. L'Africain—S. rosy purple, F. darker, veined darker at base. Dwarf. Mme. Chereau—S. pure white, F. slightly re- ticulated violet at the base. Very beautiful. Xeglecta—S. pale lavender, F. purple, reticu- lated white. Nibelungen—S. olive green, F. yellow, purple and white. Parkmanni—S. pure lemon, F. pure white, veined purple. Pauline—S. bright blue, F. a little darker. Queen of Gypsies—S. a light bronze, F. pur- ple-red. Velveteen—S. yellowish buff, F. intense plum purple. 25c each; $2.50 per doz.; $20.00 per 100 THE PALLIDA GROUP The choicest as well as the tallest and largest of all the bearded Irises. Foliage is broad and makes a fine appearance. Flowers are fragrant. Colors are all shades and tints of blue, lavender, mauve, rose, lilac. Albert Victor—S. soft blue, F. beautiful lav- ender. Large and fine. 30c each; $3.00 per doz. Dalmatica—A queen among flowers; grand and stately. S. lavender, F. clear deep lavender. Flowers large and fine. 25c each; $2.50 per doz.; $18.00 per 100 Her Majesty—S. lovely rose-pink. F. bright crimson tinged with a darker shade. A rare blending of tints and colors. 40c each; $4.00 per doz. Lohengrin—S. and F. uniform shade of Cat- tleya rose. Very large. Most exquisite of all the bearded Irises. 35c each; $3.50 per doz. Queen of May—This is very satisfactory and well adapted everywhere. It is a soft rosy-lilac, almost pink. 25c each; $2.50 per doz. 1 each of the Pallida group for $1.40 NEW AND CHOICE VARIETIES These are extra fine sorts of which stock is somewhat limited. As they are new and scarce the supply is not likely to equal the demand. Glory of Reading—S. deep blue, F. deep royal blue. Conspicuous orange beard. Large hand- some flower. Fragrant. 50c each Ivorine—Ivory white, fine shape", good sub- stance. 18 inches. 50c each Loreley—S. light yellow, F. ultramarine blue, bordered cream. 35c each Midnight—A rich deep purple, the finest in this color; a fine cut flower. 40c each Mme. Pacquette—S. and F. bright rosy claret. Late. 40c each Perfection—S. light blue, F. dark velvety violet black; orange beard. A handsome, bold, showy flower. 30c each Princess Vict. Louise—S. pale yellow, F. rich violet, edged cream. Very fresh coloring and es- pecially attractive in the garden. 40c each Wyomissing—Creamy white, suffused delicately with soft rose, F. deep rose base, shading to flesh colored border. 50c each 12 for 10 times the price of one FINE MIXED GARDEN IRIS A fine assortment of many named varieties in mixtures. $1.25 per doz.; $7.50 per 100 IRIS PUMILA These might be called early dwarf Garden Irises. They grow only six to twelve inches high, showing a mass of large elegant flowers early in the spring. Sambo—Fine blue-black. Lutea—Fine yellow. The Bride—Snow-white. 20c each; the 3 for 55c; $2.00 per doz* Mixed Iris Pumila—Several colors. $1.25 per doz. IRIS SIBIRICA, Orien talis Tall, narrow, grassy foliage with flower stems three to four feet tall. Delicate, refined flowers in great profusion. Orientalis, Blue—Intense, dark blue flowers. Orientalis. Snow Queen—Large, ivory white flowers. 25c each; the 2 for 40c; $2.00 per doz.
