Description
中文（臺灣）：蔣經國曾以國防副主任、行政院院長、總統等身分，多次巡查馬祖。據《馬祖兵事》統計，從1949年6月開始到1985年間，蔣經國曾來馬祖達31次，不少馬祖軍民對蔣經國訪馬的回憶相當清晰。經國紀念館就收錄許多蔣經國與馬祖軍民互動的故事。

蔣經國每次待在馬祖天數不等，短則兩天、長至10多日，通常他會在南竿聽取簡報再移動到其他島、或是回基隆，如1973年3月他就曾到東引一線天、東引國中及南竿油庫坑道、海星診所等地，足跡可說是遍佈馬祖。

國史館編著的《蔣經國》一書記載，蔣經國最後一次視察馬祖的感想，他表示：「以前記得還是從山隴上岸的，當時（福澳）是一片荒涼中。……一位老先生帶我去看，他說：『這裡可以作一個碼頭。』我當時還懷疑，如何能把這一座山削掉，做成功一個碼頭。可是現在，我們做成功了。所以，我常常想到一句話，就是『事在人為，人定勝天』。」這句事在人為、人定勝天也成為福澳港的勒石地標。
