Summary[edit]

Description
English: This terminus - starting point of the Mumbai-Thane Railway Route in 1853 - was the then called Bori Bunder, later renamed to Victoria Terminus and again renamed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in 1996. Construction had started in 1878 and completed in 1888. Now this terminus is one of the busiest places in Mumbai. And Mumbai is busy as it is. It is home to many of railway routes of Mumbai. One train passes every 1.5 to 2 minutes here. It also played significant role in the 26 November 2008 Terror Attacks.This place is the symbol of Mumbai. Mumbai is incomplete without it and it is incomplete without Mumbai. When a Mumbaikar thinks about his/her hometown, this is one of many places that comes to mind.
