Français : En limite de Vienne et Deux-Sèvres, le château de Cherves. A ne pas confondre avec son homologue de Cherveux, sur la route de Niort !
Son aménagement débute au XIIe s. mais, comme beaucoup d'ouvrages de ce type, de nombreux éléments d'origine ont aujourd'hui disparus. L'imposant donjon rectangulaire que l'on voit à l'image, flanqué de ses 4 tours, est classé MH depuis 1987, le reste du site 20 ans plus tard. |
