Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cheddar Gorge Tour bus (reg. A860 SUL), a 1983 Leyland Titan (B15), pictured climbing Cheddar Gorge near the Lion Rock.

The 920th production Titan, it's from the later batch built at Leyland's expanded factory in the Lillyhall Industrial Estate in Workington (earlier ones were built by British Leyland subsidiary Park Royal Vehicles in Park Royal, London). As with the vast majority of production, it was delivered new to London Transport as part of the dual door T-class, allocated fleet number T860.

From new, T860 operated in the traditional Titan areas in London, both with London Transport and then in the post-deregulation/pre-privatisaton London Buses business unit era.

In September 1992 it became one of the few London Titans to operate in the west of the capital, when it was transferred to the Kingston upon Thames (garage code K) based Westlink business unit for use on London Buses route 131. In December 1992 it was repainted into Westlink's red/white/green livery.

T860 was de-roofed in an accident in 1993, which meant that it didn't initially get transferred into the ownership of Westlink on full-privatisation in 1994. While still at Kingston however, it was converted to an open top bus, and was finally transferred into the ownership of Westlink under their new owners, London United, in September 1995.

In July 1996 it was purchased by London Pride Sightseeing, who renumbered it 352. In 2001 it passed to City Sightseeing in Cardiff, who operated retained the number 352. By 2006 it was being used on the Cheddar Gorge Tour. The tour is operated by Longleat Estates, who also operate many of the attractions in the gorge.
