This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Chart of popularity of health-themed websites in 2012.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Assuming that Wikipedia is viewed by 13.6% of the Internet population in a given day.

So that if English's medical content gets 193 million page views in June while the English content as a whole gets 7,554 million pages views as of June 2012 (making 2.55% of page views medicine related).

And that the proportion of people who view medical content on English Wikipedia is the same as the percentage of people who view medical content in other languages.

That the fraction of unique visitors for Wikipedia as a whole to unique visitors for medical articles is the same as the fraction of page views for Wikipedia as a whole to page views for medical articles.

Approximately 0.35% of Internet users view Wikipedia's medical content in a given day. We can then compare this with the page views of other popular health sources as generated by Alexa.com
