English: Dave Price, weatherman for CBS' Early Show, cracks a few jokes on Cpl. Jeremy L. Sykes before the Marine sings the Garth Brooks song, 'Friends in Low Places.' Price and Sykes were part of the opening act for a night of festivities for the service members stationed in the Al Anbar Province.
The southern rock/country group, 'The Charlie Daniels Band,' performed for a full house of more than 1,200 service members at Camp Taqaddum, Iraq April 16, 2006. The band held the concert to show the troops how much they appreciated there sacrifices for America. 'We're (touring) to honor the men and women who protect our way of life. It's the least we can do,' said Daniels. |
