Summary[edit]

Description
English: Northwest façade of Chambord castle. Built between 1519 and 1547 by François I, it was heavily extended afterwards by Henri II and Louis XIV to its final shape we know well today. Chambord castle is an example of Renaissance architecture. It is also the largest castle of the Loire valley, measuring 156m long and topping 56m height. A UNESCO world heritage site since 1981.
