Description
This building is classé au titre des monuments historiques de la France. It is indexed in the base Mérimée, a database of architectural heritage maintained by the French Ministry of Culture, under the reference IA34000562 .

English: Gateway to the Château de Pézenas. Construction of the château started in 1262 and was rebuilt in 1563. The château was demolished by Cardinal Richelieu in 1632 and only the gateway remains.
