Fructification of two kinds, ondistinct individuals : 1, tetrasjwres, either immersed in the ramuli, ormore or less protrudent; 2, sessile, roundish receptacles {favellce)having a pellucid limbus, containing minute, angular spores, andsubtended by one or more short, involucral ramidi. Ceramium{Both),—from Kepa^ios, 2.pitcher; but the fruit is not pitcher-shaped.
