Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Central Tyre and Exhaust. An independent tyre and exhaust centre on Green Street Green roundabout. Its origins were in a smithy catering for the horse drawn traffic that gathered on the green which once situated here, a favoured leisure destination served by the Rose and Crown pub (see 1603681) and various tearooms in the village. Later, it added the selling of petrol and a garage for motor vehicles. The smithy closed in 1960, but the motor connection lives on with its current role.
