She dropsher anchors, and furls her sails. It is the grand old shipCumberland. She will sail the wild seas no more. Thetempests may sweep oer the wild, stormy deep, but safe inheaven we will rest evermore. There is but one fond ambition in my poor life, and ifit is wrong forgive it. I want to serve my Master as bestI can, and when I fall in death, and you come to carvemy simple epitaph upon the unpretentious slab that is tomark my last resting place. I ask not that you carve uponit that I was great and covered with honor, for that wouldbe untrue. There are only three great fundamental systems of doc-trine under Protestantism. Each of these is a distinctdoctrinal system and has nothing in common with eitherof the others. These three doctrinal systems are Calvin-ism, Arminianism and Cumberlandism. Cumberlandism is different from these other two in eachand all the essential doctrines of Christianity.
