Français : Le calcaire de Rodrigues s'est formé il y a environs 3 millions d'années. C'est probablement le retrait de la mer il y a 1 millions d'année qui a permis au vent de constituer sur le basalte des dunes de sable. A la fin de l'ere glaciaire l'apport de sable s'est arreté. La degradation du carbonate de calcium avec la pluie a constitué le calcaire. Les grottes se sont creusées sous l'action de l'erosion et de l'acidification des pluies |
