Summary
[edit]DescriptionCathodoluminescence images (Stitched) of dolomite from the Irish zinc-lead ore field.jpg |
English: This is an example of ore-related hydrothermal dolomite from the Lisheen deposit, Ireland, which was mined for zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) for over 15 years and only closed in 2015. This group of stitched images primarily shows black matrix breccia (BMB), a grey-black, dolomite that envelops and is replaced by mineralization in Ireland. Scale bar included.
Cathodoluminescence imaging was carried out using a CITL mk5 cold cathodoluminescence stage at the Imperial College London. |
