Very often we receive letters from parties with whom we havehad correspondence about attending- the College, in which we findsuch statements as follows:—It will be impossible for me toattend this term. College Hallway. an education. The trouble seems to be a disposition to haveeverything just so before they will make a start, and the result isthey never get started. Next year comes around and they are inworse circumstances than they were the year previous. Duringthat time, however, we venture to state that they will have spentmore in having a good time than it would have cost them to haveattended school for six or eight months. Promise little and do much.34 Business Education for Women. The Cornwall Commercial College offers the same advantagesto young- women as to young men. No longer does public senti-ment hesitate to extend to young women the welcome to the busi-ness world that belongs to her in view of her established ability.Business Colleges were the first educational institutions to welcomewomen on equal footing and advantages with men. Here she maydevelop here latent capabilities with the satisfying sense that shecan, if necessary, earn her own living or care for her own bus
