GARDEN IRISES Our collection of Irises is one of the finest in Northern New England There are no poor varieties in this list, but it is kept right up to -date and real good Irises are dropped every year to make "way for the newer varieties. Alta California:—Standards golden, falls bronzy yellow; huge 40 Ambassadeur:—Standards bronzy violet, falls velvety black 40 Amigo—Clear light lavender standards, darker falls edge trimmed purpleSl.OO Angelus:—One of the World's great Irises. Delicate pearly-pink. Huge SI.00 Ann Page:—Good size and a lovely color. Almost sky-blue 40 Asia:—A few years ago considered the world's best. Big light lavender .40 Balmung:—Broad golden petals all edged with rich brown: very large SI.50 Black Beauty:—Good size flowers very dark purple, almost black 40 Brunhilde:—Dark rich violet-blue: wonderful color, and large 50 Bruno:—Standards bronze, falls velvety red-purple 40 California Gold:—A few years ago there were no real good yellow Irises, today yellow Irises are the best of all and among the top notch yellow is California Gold. 4 ft. tall very large, polished-gold flowers. 5 to 7 blooms to a stem. Simply wonderful 50 Cherio:—Bright red flushed old-gold, handsome 40 China Maid:—^Nothing better in Irises; an enormous pink blend Sl.OO — 51 —
