| Description |
English: Within the family, there are 13 different genera comprising a total of 412 unique species. Interestingly, many of these species obtain their nutrition by consuming nematodes. This fascinating process is made possible thanks to hyphae, which have adhesive knobs that attach to passing nematodes. Additionally, these hyphae secrete nematotoxic compounds, aiding in their consumption for nourishment. |
