Description |
English: Cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). It is shield shaped in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The attachment loop has broken.
Both the sinister chief and dexter base are decorated with irregular lozenges which are in filled with gules enamel. There are 12 lozenges on the sinister chief and 14 on the dexter base. The decoration is divided by a bend which is in filled with vert enamel. The coat of arms on the pendant is relatively simple. It dates to the 14th century. |
