English: Carl Johan Fahlcrantz, Sognefjorden, som sträcker sig från Jotunheimen i öst till kusten vid Vestlandet i Norge. Framnäs och Balestrand, Frithiofs och Ingeborgs hem. Signerad C Fahlcrantz och daterad 1828. Duk 60 x 97 cm. Samtida förgylld och bronserad ram. Proveniens: Privat samling, Danmark till 2008.

Litteratur: Emil Hultmark, "Kungl Akademien för de fria konsterna utställningar 1794-1887", 1935, troligtvis identisk med kat nr 39, sid 88.
Övrigt: Enligt U Frost, "Till Norrige! En Voyage pittoresque år 1827", 1997, alluderar staffaget i båten till Fahlcrantz och hans resesällskap bröderna Anckarsvärd. Frost anser att Fahlcrantz på så vis betonar att det rör sig om moderna resenärer som besöker en historisk plats.
Målningen är den största av tre kända versioner av detta motiv: Eskilstuna Museum 35 x 50,5 cm. och tidigare Emil Hultmarks samling, 29 x 42 cm. daterad 1830 (B Olson, "Emil Hultmark (1872-1944), konsthistoriker, samlare och mecenat" i Konsthistoriks tidskrift, LVII, häfte 3-5, 1988, sid 88.)
