We were now visited by two canoes,which came boldly along-side of us, andseveral of the Indians^entered the Resolutionwithout hesitation; which mark of confi-dence determined us to visit them if possible.After making a few trips, we found goodanchorage, and come to- in twenty-five fa-thoms water, at three cables length from theshore. We had scarcely anchored, whenwe were surrownded with Indians, somein canoes, and some swimn:ing, severalcame on board, and among tiiem a chief,named Tioony, to whom Capt.
