Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Canal west of Brighouse. Here the canal (Calder and Hebble Navigation)was constructed at the foot of a steep slope, cut into the rock on the right and built up with a retaining wall above the river on the left. Its tranquility is in contrast to the busy main road out of sight only a short distance up the hillside.
