Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Canal at Stoke Bruerne - 1964 The top lock of a flight of seven on the Grand Union Canal. The buildings on the right are a canal museum. A few hundred metres along the towpath on the right is the entrance to the Blisworth Tunnel SP7350, which I am told I went through as a very small child in the days when the boats were horse drawn, and 'legged' through the tunnel, while the horse went over the top. I'm not sure about the legging bit, as my canal book says that tugs were introduced in 1871, and I'm not that old.
