New Orleans: Scene on Canal Street during a Carnival parade

c. 1895; almost certainly 2nd half of 1890s

View looking downwards across to Royal Street, includes statue of Henry Clay (since moved to Lafayette Square) and electric streetcars which recently replaced older mule drawn ones on the major routes. Carnival float visible going lakeward in distance.
