Desenho aguarelado, 22,2 x 18 cm. In Descrição da Ilha da Madeira (...), 1817. Biblioteca Nacional de Lisboa (Res. cod. 6.705), Portugal.

Pub. Rui Carita, in Paulo Dias de Almeida, Tenente Coronel do Real Corpo de Engenheiros e a sua Descrição da Ilha da Madeira de 1817 - 1827, DRAC., Funchal, 1982.

A legenda acrescenta: "Indo para a Missa; a Mulher calça os çapatos à porta da Igreja, o Homem diariamente anda com hum pé calçado e outro descalço alternadamente para lhe durar mais tempo as botas".
