THE NEW COMMISSIONER.On December S, 1916, Mr. Edward L.Bosqui of San Francisco was appointedfish and game commissioner to succeedCarl Westerfeld, who was elected at thattime to the office of executive officer ofthe commission. Mr. Bosqui is a son ofEdward Bosqui, a pioneer printer andpublisher of San Francisco. The pres-ent commissioner, like his father, is alover of field sports and has found recre-ation in fishing and hunting since bisboyhood days. This long experiencewith the fish and game of Californiamakes of Mr. Bosqui a most valuable allyof the men who hunt and fish and ofthose interested in wild life conservation. Acquainted with the out-of-doors as fewmen are, he brings to his new position aknowledge of conditions that is sure tocount for better fish and game conserva-tion. His slogan is: More fish andgame for all of the people. NEW GAME LEGISLATION. As in past years there has been muchinterest taken in the fish and game legis-lation before the present legislature.
