Description
English: Caerphilly railway station, Gwent

Opened in 1871 by the Rhymney Railway on its line from Cardiff to Rhymney, the station was rebuilt in 1970 when the right hand two platforms were replaced by a bus interchange and the 1871 main building was segregated from the station and turned into shops.

View west, although the line soon curves to the north, following completion of a new bay platform. See Link for the same view 19 months earlier.
