| Description |
CP 2623 hauling IR 852 from Valença to Porto São Bento, the premier service of the first refurbished Arco coaches. The consist chosen for this first commercial service got a special livery. The slogan “Viajar de forma segura e sustentável” which translates into “Sustainable and safe travel” is applied on the sides of the Arcos. - The blue car (1st Class, 56 seats) is decorated with the “Portas da Coroada” arch, a Symbol of the well-known Valença fortress, in the border city of Valença. -The middle red car (2nd Class, 80 seats) is decorated with the iconic “Galo de Barcelos” (Barcelos rooster), the symbol of the city of Barcelos. -And the red car at the tail (2nd Class, bistro, 25 seats) is decorated with “Corações de Viana” (Hearts of Viana), Viana do Castelo – famous for its tradition of gold filigree jewellery, as well as the typical heart-shaped gold necklaces and earrings.
