| Description | The boat trip from Malta to Gozo takes over to a less congeasted island of Comino and the other much smaller island of Cominetto. When looking at these islands what strikes the eye first is its rocky formation and that it is nearly uninhabited. On looking closer one can see the power of the sea on the easily eroded limestone formation of the islands. It is heavily indented and full of caves all around the coastline. According to tradition Comino was a haven for pirates with its many caves and inlets. When seeing this small archipelago one does not get any inkling of what he will be seeing as soon as the ferry-boat docks at Mgarr Harbour. Gozo greets you with a green swathe of trees covering Fort Chambray and on the other side the sloping fields leading up to the picturesque village of Qala - MALTA |
