Nederlands: Beeld (onderdeel). Een blank houten beeld op vierkante basis, voorstellende een christelijke aartsengel in de gedaante van een Javaanse wayangprins met vleugels. Hij is gezeten met de benen gevouwen, het hoofd gebogen en de handen tegen elkaar in gebedshouding. Het beeldje is Pater Vertenten in Buitenzorg, Java, op 7 februari 1926 aangeboden ter gelegenheid van zijn vertrek uit Nieuw-Guinea. Aldus de mededeling in een fotoalbum met soortgelijke snijwerken, aanwezig in het Archief Vertenten, Katholiek Documentatie Centrum. Bahasa Indonesia: Patung (bagian). Patung kayu kosong dengan pijakan persegi, menggambarkan seorang malaikat agung Kristen yang menyamar sebagai pangeran wayang Jawa bersayap. Dia duduk dengan kaki terlipat, kepala tertunduk dan kedua tangan menyatu dalam posisi berdoa. Patung ini dipersembahkan kepada Pastor Vertenten di Buitenzorg, Jawa, pada tanggal 7 Februari 1926, pada saat keberangkatannya dari Nugini. Demikianlah pemberitahuan dalam album foto ukiran serupa, yang ada di Arsip Vertenten, Pusat Dokumentasi Katolik. English: Statue (part). A blank wooden statue on square base, representing a Christian archangel in the guise of a Javanese wayang prince with wings. He is seated with legs folded, head bowed and hands together in prayer pose. The statue was presented to Father Vertenten in Buitenzorg, Java, on Feb. 7, 1926, on the occasion of his departure from New Guinea. Thus the notice in a photo album of similar carvings, present in the Vertenten Archives, Catholic Documentation Center.
