Nederlands: Repronegatief. Beroemd, ja berucht was en is de doerian (nu gespeld als durian). Al aan het begin van de 19e eeuw schreef Raffles over "the durian, or dúren, to which the natives of these islands are so passionately attached." Beluisteren we hier een ondertoon van verbazing? Vreemd zou dat niet zijn: veel Europese bezoekers, toe en nu, hadden tegenover de doerian dezelfde geschokte, verontwaardigde houding als tegenover trasi: hoe kunnen jullie iets eten dat zo stinkt, laat staan lekker vinden?
