Nederlands: Repronegatief. De dorpen van de Tanimbar Eilanden waren niet zelden verwikkeld in langdurige veten, iets dat ook elders in de Archipel tamelijk veel voorkwam. Daarnaast gingen ze ook bondgenootschappen aan met elkaar. Een dergelijk verbond moest van tijd tot tijd hernieuwd worden, waartoe het ene dorp eens in de zoveel jaar het andere opzocht. Evenveel jaren later werd dan een tegenbezoek gebracht. Bij die gelegenheden werden giften uitgewisseld en werd er vooral lang en veel gedanst. Bij deze gelegenheden lieten de rijken zien hoe rijk ze waren door zich uit te dossen met al hun sieraden. Let ook op de hoeden van de mannen (van katoen in twee kleuren). (P. Boomgaard, 2001).
