Nederlands: Aquarel. Op deze aquarel wordt Opper-koopman van de Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie, Johannes Andreas Paravicini (1710-1771), afgebeeld als commissaris aan het hoofd van een feestelijke maaltijd met de vorsten, rijksbestuurders en hoofdregenten van Groot-Timor en de omliggende eilanden Roti, Solor, Alor, Savo en Sumawa. De tafelschikking is naar rang en positie en de feestelijke aankleding van de zaal, als mede het feestprogramma, zijn uitvoerig beschreven onder de schildering (zie ook inventarisnummer 3728-541b).
Johannes Andreas Paravicini (1710-1771) was door de gouverneur-generaal van Nederlands Oost-Indië naar Timor gezonden om de autoriteit van de V.O.C. te herstellen. Zeven jaar eerder was de V.O.C. vesting Koepang belegeerd door een leger Portugezen en mestiezen. Met hulp van de lokale bevolking werden ze verslagen door de V.O.C. Johannes Andreas Paravicini (1710-1771), chief tradesman of the Dutch East Indies Trading company (V.O.C.), is depicted in the center of a banquet with rulers of Great Timor and neighbouring islands. He was sent by the Governor-General to reinstate the authority of the V.O.C. in the area, after Portuguese and mestizos besieged the stronghold of Kupang seven years earlier..
