Nederlands: Repronegatief. In de tijd van de grote houten VOC-zeilschepen was de centrale reparatiewerf van Indië op het eiland Onrust, voor de kust bij Batavia gevestigd. Scheepsbouw vond daar niet plaats. De grotere schepen werden in Nederland gebouwd, de kleinere vooral te Rembang. Met de komst van de stoomschepen, ongeveer vanaf 1860, waren de voorzieningen op Onrust niet langer adequaat. De toen moderne haven van Tandjong Priok kreeg ook geavanceerde faciliteiten voor de reparatie van grote metalen stoomschepen. (P. Boomgaard, 2001). Dit is het 3.000-tons drijvend dok van Onrust gehuurd van de marine te Tandjong Priok. In 1896 werd een nieuw 4.000 tons droogdok in Tandjong Priok in gebruik gesteld.
Deutsch: Repro-Negativ. In der Zeit des großen hölzernen VOC-Segelschiffe war die zentrale Reparaturwerft Indonesiens auf der Insel Onrust in der Nähe von Batavia vor der Küste tätig. Schiffbau erfolgte hier nicht. Die größeren Schiffe wurden in den Niederlanden gebaut, die kleineren vor allem in Rembang. Mit dem Aufkommen der Dampfschiffe um 1860 reichten die Anlagen in Onrust nicht mehr aus. Der moderne Hafen von Tanjong Priok hatte auch Möglichkeiten für die Reparatur von großen Stahl-Dampfschiffen. (P. Orchard, 2001). Dies ist das 3000-Tonnen-Schwimmdock gemietet von den Marine in Tanjong Priok. In 1896 würde ein Schwimmdock von 4.000-Tonnen in gebrauch gestellt. |
