An incomplete medieval continental sterling imitation silver penny of Robert of Bethune (1305-1322AD). Mint of Alost. Obverse: Crowned bust facing with the legend [R COM]ES FLA[NDRIE]. Reverse has a long cross pattée, with three pellets in each quarter, dividing the legend [MON/ETA/ALO/TEN]
