English: A complete silver Roman Republican denarius struck for Julius Caesar and dating to 49-48 BC (Reece Period 1). Travelling mint with Caesar. Obverse: Priestly implements. Reverse: CAESAR, Elephant trampling dragon / snake.. RRC p. 461, no. 443/1. The coin is preserved in very good condition, with the reverse particularly well-struck. |
